About Us

Destiny Helper’s Nursery is a childcare service that provides high-quality childcare for a range of children within the community and those who are eligible for the funded hours at nursery. Recent research by Mather’s et al (2014) has also highlighted that a high-quality education often has an increase on children’s life chances. As a setting, we often ensure this by placing the needs and interest of every child and their family at the center of our care (as stated in the Children Act 1989 legislation). At Destiny’s Helper’s nursery, we believe that when children are nurtured, they develop a sense of belonging within the early stages of life. Investing in children’s early childhood also means that they are more likely to thrive within their learning and development.

Our passion and experience within this field enables us to drive the quality of service we provide for children and their families. Most importantly, we provide the training and support for staff to ensure that they are up to date with the changing policies and legislations within the early childhood sector. Our daily routine and curriculum provide children with a safe and stimulating environment that contributes to enhancing their developmental needs. In addition, we also work in accordance to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum (DfES, 2021), which sets out guidelines for planning and practice within an early year’s provision. Our babies, toddlers and pre-school room provides children with age-appropriate activities and resources that meets their developmental needs and interest.

The nursery is set up in a way that stimulates our children through their rich play experiences, where they can feel loved and nurtured whilst at nursery.

We ensure that our nursery action plans, risk assessment, self-assessment reviews and training courses are reviewed periodically to ensure they are all up to date. Working in accordance to childcare policies and procedures is a key aspect in the service we provide. Quality assurance is also our watch word for the staff, our service, the environment and all materials within the nursery complies with quality standards.

HEALTH & SAFETY

FOOD & HYGIENE RATING : 5

To ensure that our nursery environment remains safe and healthy for our children, all staff are trained to work in accordance to our Health and Safety policy and procedures alongside our COVID-19 risk assessment September 2021. Hand sanitizers and face masks are also available for use when needed.

As part of the United Kingdom’s government Step 4 phase in the Coronavirus pandemic which moves away from stringent restrictions; all staff, parents and visitors are encouraged to protect themselves by following our COVID-19 risk assessment measures which are in place.

The nursery resources, equipment and environment are sanitized and cleaned on a daily basis to keep all children, families and visitors safe when accessing our service.
